Web Design Project Description: We are going to expand our current band`s website (which is a fairly new Wordpress website that has only some content as of now) to include information about a theatre/club we are opening in Las Vegas, located near the Stratosphere and pretty much in front of the Strip. ------------- For the designers info, the website will focus on: A. art in Las Vegas (shows at the club-example: rock shows, improv, jazz, film showings-) Our club will focus on multi media and innovative events, and especially those that benefit the arts community. We want to break the mold and create a different and underground experience for our audiences. B. visiting Las Vegas (with links to book flights, car rentals, vacation homes) C. information about our band We want to have a community of fans talking about art, Las Vegas events, etc. ----------------------- What we need to get done now: 1. To transfer our current site to a new host. Any recommendations for a new host and program under the new host are welcome. We just need to make sure we move without losing anything. 2. To improve the look of our template: A bit of a more business look, a little more pizazz, more rock n` roll, more red, more texture, more complexity in the look. Possibly a wine color or a red background. 3. Changes in content: To add to the menu located on top of the page some more subjects, especially theatre related stuff (the theatre is multi purpose): So the Menu should read something like this: -ABOUT THE OWNERS- -THEATRE SCHEDULE- -CLASSES- --EVENTS and CHATS- REHERSAL SPACE -BOUTIQUE- -CHAT ROOM -CONTACT- FRIENDS -MESSAGE BOARD- (mostly we will be adding the content ourselves, we just need the main structure laid out) 4. To be able to add links to the side of the site that include: a. links to buying airline tickets, car rentals, hotel booking, etc. b. links to our promoter`s pages promoting their specific nights at the club c. links to artsy subjects We (promoters, band, fans) will be adding content as we go, and for the links too....so at t this moment, we are only looking into building the skeleton of the site, and we can also possibly add the message board. Suggestions are welcome. ***The main blog on the main page will be authored by the owners/band. **The more photos we can put on the cover page featuring the club and the band, the better. **We like the music video feature we already have and want to keep this. **The club will open in May and will build steadily in the next 6 months Employer Questions: (1) Please show Wordpress portfolio of websites you have built.
